[[Okay if each of you reply to my tag to start with at University Base then we can start it all up and then split into three threads when we are ready. Feel free to god-mod voraciously against the rank and file enemies etc as they are fodder, now and again I will throw someone at you who I want to control myself though but I will tell you so in the tag. If you want detailed information then AIM me on Tyrmer or email/msn me on Tyrmer@hotmail.com]]

University Base is a vast sealed city, with walls enclosed on all sides and above, but with city block sized windows of reinforced glass here and there.  Tall towers reach up towards the ceiling of this synthetic cave, in the very centre reaching up to the ceiling and merging with it.  Check points and huge airlocks for movement of large vehicles dot the perimeter, although from where the characters are only one of these is easily visible.  It seems like it would take a logn time to get across this city, even using motorised transport.

Zakharov eagerly awaited the arrival of the others in University Base's main military complex, his finest technicians, engineers and just about anyone curious about what was going on hanging around or looking out of windows.  The military complex is situated near one of the walls, walled off from the rest of the city and accessed through checkpoints.  Security seems somewhat lax however, and the soldiers seem rather poorly trained to an experienced eye.

"Academician, we have a report coming in from one of our scouting parties, they are in trouble sir."

"Put them through."

*Static*  "-peat this is scout party zero zero tango foxtrot.  We are under attack by a superior force of Hive orgin.  We have discovered what appears to be a heavily fortified forward base and are retreating.  Movement impeded by fungus however and we have artillery zeroing in on our position.  Sending coordinates of the base and all the information we have gathered, prepare for a large inbound force of land forces."

*Static*

"Its hopeless, we're under attack on all sides.  Rovers three and four are down, its only us and two left.  Sir what do we do?"

"..."

"Sir?  What do we-" *static*

*Angry, tearful voice* "Damn him, damn him."

Today our misguided efforts to breed native lifeforms came to a catastrophic end with the destruction of our Advanced Biology Research Laboratories, the deaths of Talent Ada, Talent Houre and the loss of an as yet uncalculated amount of research data.  A psych test corresponding with an attack on the base by a mindworm boil of never before seen mass caused our specimens to break conditioning and run amuck inside the base.  The entire sector has been sterilized and sealed off for quarantine.  In future the University of Planet will never again attempt to breed the native abominations known as Mind Worms, let the Gaian's have their monopoly on them.

The following is a compilement of notes on the members of the community that I have discoursed with.  I have attempted to express any strengths or weaknesses I have discovered as well as the species/race and planet of origin where appropriate.

START COMMUNICATION

It has come to my attention that we are not alone in this universe.  I have discovered a community in the datalinks that has facets on other worlds, one of which I have visited through instantaneous transportation and collected mineral samples.  It appears that these are not merely other planets, but that there are several alternate Earths with members on the community.  As of the present I am not aware of anyone from our own universe (universe being a relative term meaning that it is a single version of a planet, some of the members may be from some far flung reaches of our own universe) using the community, we may be the first of the factions to communicate with other worlds and as such we should reap the benefits.  I have decided to perform an indepth study of the community named "DramaDramaDuck" although it pains me to deal with the mass amounts of simpletons and imbeciles who frequent it.  It does appear that there are a few individuals who merit study, or trade of information or skills.

END COMMUNICATION.
